Three film festivals that are taking their events virtual
Outdoor film festivals are a fun and inspiring way for our community to come together in support of our hobbies and lifestyles. However, COVID precautions continue to remain paramount, thus limiting the number of people allowed to gather at any given time or place. Despite these restrictions on public gatherings, the show must go on. Here are three film festivals going virtual this fall, allowing you to enjoy select films from the comfort of your own home.
Based out of Carbondale, Colorado, the 5Point Film Festival will host their 13th annual flagship festival online October 14-18. This festival is built on the foundation of five guiding principles: purpose, respect, commitment, humility and balance. Their mission is to “ignite personal and communal adventure of all kinds through the experience of sharing meaningful stories.”
This year’s theme is “Together Under One Sky.”
Tickets will go on sale September 10. Purchase tickets online here.
The Crested Butte Film Festival will celebrate its 10th anniversary online with a wide range of films for all ages. The virtual event will take place September 25 – October 4, and will provide access to almost 100 films ranging from adventure film features to informative documentaries. Their Youth Program will remain free.
This women-led film festival is based in the Colorado Rockies and aims “to undefine feminine in adventure and sport through film.” The mission of NMLFF is to amplify the voices and stories of women in the outdoors through film-based initiatives.
NMLFF is hosting several virtual events throughout the fall, with the next one coming up on September 11. Each event is hosted by a different business or organization in a different city, ranging from Laramie, Wyoming (9/11) to Santiago, Chile (11/12-11/13).
