Although remotely adjustable seat posts, also called dropper posts, have seen a resurgence over the last several years on the mountain bike scene, they’ve actually been around for quite a while.
Hydraulic or mechanical, they remotely rise and drop at the pull of a trigger, making biking rugged terrain easier.
Say goodbye to stopping and adjusting your seat height at the top of a downhill only to raise it back up at the bottom. Modern dropper posts are a dream, and the way to go for any serious recreational trail fiend. We asked Chad Guyer of Poison Spider Bicycles to explain why an adjustable seat post is so applicable for mountain biking, and how they instill confidence and comfort on the trail.
