We got a few tips from pro enduro mountain biker Rob Nichols on how to bring your mountain biking game to the snow and blend some ski savvy with cycling prowess. It is called ski biking, after all.
“Being a biking instructor, I'm very analytical and I break down a lot of the things that I do on my ski bike,” Nichols said. “There are obvious differences, but so much crosses over and it's so close to riding a bike.”
It's time to get hip
“There's a lot more hip activation on a ski bike,” he said. “Just like you would on a ski or snowboard, you're making these big, long, graceful, arching turns and when you're doing that you're pivoting a lot more than you would a bicycle.”
