Head lamps you must have

Black Diamond takes head lamp spot by storm

In case you’ve been camping out in another decade, head lamps have taken on a new personality. With the powerful illumination, unsurpassed longevity and smart features, today’s lamps light up tomorrow. And the future looks bright.

Getting out of the dark

What’s a lumen?

A lumen is a measurement of the total visible light emitted by a source. Many light sources, like car headlights and other lamp devices are measured in lumens, or how much light they put off. For camping and any nighttime activities in the back country, a few lumens go a long way.

LED leads the way

Light-emitting diode, or LED, is a phenomenon of a semiconductor that emits light when electricity is passed through it. In short, the light is bright, can last for a very long time and is perfect for something like a head lamp.

LED by example

“A head lamp is probably the most versatile piece of equipment you can use in the back country, says Mason Daly of Black Diamond, makers of two of the best selling head lamps on the market. “It lights your way at night.”
